K1-70 is primarily used as a binder in surface dressing and road maintenance applications. It helps bond aggregate (chippings) to existing road surfaces, creating a durable, skid-resistant wearing course.

K1-70 is often known to be a ‘seasonal’ product as is typically carried out in dry weather conditions when road surface temperatures are between 12°C and 35°C. The product is most commonly used during the warmer months of the year.
